Albet i Noya - DO Cava Brut Reserva NV - Spain £22.95 vg 1
An attractive alternative to Champagne from the Penedès region, near Barcelona. It is made by the traditional method using local varieties Macabeo, Xarel-lo and Parellada plus some Chardonnay. Soft citrus fruits combine with a mellow nuttiness and balanced acidity. It has a long dry finish.
Champagne Fleury - AOC Champagne, Carte Rouge NV - France bio vg 1
An excellent biodynamic Champagne made from 90% Pinot Noir and 10% Chardonnay. It is multi-layered with delicious apple and biscuity notes. Its complexity comes from ageing on the lees, with integrated acidity and a lingering finish.

A delicious sweet wine made from exceptionally ripe Semillon and Muscadelle
